SIp/Voip Issues XG210

Hello,

I have been trying to get my voip phones to register/provision and I am having the hardest time in doing so. I have checked all the forums and tried just about everything. I have consulted with many folks within nextiva and sophos vip support and can not get a solution. Before I had this XG 210 Firewall I could provision phones no problems. I can put in the rules here and can not provision but I can take it home and works just fine. Need help ASAP.

  • I feel your pain.  I never got SIP trunking to work right on an XG115 so just gave up and put the Sonicwall back in place.  I don't think it knows how to maintain consistent NAT pairings.  From some other thread it seems like maybe the higher end models can do it but lower end cannot.  Damn shame.

  • So I kept playing with it and kept shooting at it yesterday and actually got some good news. I created a VOIP Rule and in that rule there is a NAT & Routing check box. I checked the Rewrite source address (MasQuerading) then Selected in the drop down box under Use Outbound Address (MASQ). Changed my Primary gateway to reflect the Port where my WAN is (Not the Load Balancing Option). Backup Gateway left (None) and DSCP Marking selected (0-Best Effort) and now I am able to provision my phones with no Problems. Hope this helps someone because it took me some time to figure it out.
