Sophos XG (SFOS 16.05.1 MR-1) MTA Service Status Dead

Hi All

Need some urgent assistance. Our MTA service has a status of Dead. This is on a VM instance of SFOS 16.05.1 MR-1

 

I have tried restarting the device. restoring backup configs, running off previous firmware versions and finally re-downloading the latest firmware and running it.

 

Unfortunately nothing has helped.

  • Good morning for two days is happening to me the same. I have the Firewall in MTA mode and every so often (about 2 hours) the service drops (MTA dead) or you try to telnet to sophosxg 310 and send a code:

    421 server busy, closing transmission channel.

     

    The version I have is SFOS 16.05.3 MR-3 Could you fix it from support Ryan Williams?, Thank

    Hi Emre,

    This is regarding your service request number 7235095, which you have opened with us.

    Just to reiterate, we have taken the following steps to resolve the issue:

    You have downgraded firmware version to 16.04 MR-1 and it is working. You were facing issue in 16.04 MR-2 and 16.04 MR-3. Due to downtime concern, you are not ready to provide session with 16.04 MR-3 to take required logs.
    For now, You will use 16.04 MR-1 firmware and wait for 16.04 MR-4 to be released.

    As agreed on the call, I am closing this service request today. 

    If you face any trouble with regards to this issue, please bring it to our notice with the same service request number within 7 days so that we may reopen the case log and assist you further.

    We would like to know more about what you think about our ‘Customer Services’. Upon closure of your incident, you might receive a survey to give us your opinion about your interaction with Sophos Support.
