VOIP Setup with static IP

Hi All,

We've got an AdTran on the DMZ port of our XG 135 (running 16.05.1 MR-1). I've got the a Business Application Rule forwarding all coming into that Static IP to the AdTran on the DMZ. VOIP is working and audio traffic is passing, but we're getting the occasional drop mid-call where the audio just slows down. I've got a VOIP Guarantee on the line (originally the default VOIP Guarantee and then later revised to match https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123057, with minimums at 2000 since we have a full PRI), but it is still happening.

Any suggestions?

  • I don't think it is a bandwidth issue. We've got a 100/100 connection our usage over the last two hours (per the Control Center) has a max bandwidth of 4.78MB, and an average of 450KB. The QoS setting that's enabled has a minimum guarantee of 2000kb in each direction, and we've used a max of 1175 up and 1175 down in the last two hours. There are no listed packet drops or errors to the AdTran.

I'm planning on calling in and opening a ticket, but haven't had a chance to do it yet. I was disappointed with the KB that Greg shared since there's no way to subscribe for future updates to it.

    Thanks,
