Hi,
I can't block google analytics.
The application is assigned to a firewall rule, but nothing is getting blocked.
Has someone actually tried to block it too?

If Google Analytics uses HTTPS (not sure if it does) make sure that HTTP Decrypt and Scan is on, and that the Application Filter policy you are using has "Enable Micro App Detection" turned on.
Otherwise App Control cannot see inside the encrypted SSL stream to know whether there is an app to block.
Hi to all interested in blocking analytics and trackers,
I blocked those domains concerning privacy with the following workaround:
Create a new web category with type objectionable and upload a domain-list for web proxies to it - in this case I used the "tracker"-list from http://www.shallalist.de to block not only Google Analytics but also ~1100 other domains/IPs. The category could then be added to any web policy as a block action.
It works really well so far and doesn't seem to have a noticeable performance impact.
Best Regards
