Can RED be setup at a remote site with a class B subnet?

I have a client with four campuses.  One site will have a Sophos XG firewall and I would like to setup this site with a class B subnet.  I would also like to allow the remote sites to grab an address from the firewall via REDs and be a part of the Class B subnet.  Is this possible?  Or do I need to use Class C and setup routes like I am doing now?

  • Brandon,

Red is like an extensible physical cable from XG and you can threat is like a normal physical port. You can assign all IP you want, receive ip from dhcp and so on.

Of course it depends how you will implement the red on remote site.

On Sophos website you can find the three possible way to implement the red and on each one the available feature sets.
