Mozilla Firefox asking for security certificate everytime

Hi,

I am using a XG-210 UTM firewall. The issue is my Firefox browser asking for a security certificate for every new site I visit. I have already imported the appliance's device certificate to Trusted Root Certificates in windows, meanwhile i'm not having any issues in any other other browser. For Firefox I have to add exception to every new sites that i visit.

Does Firefox need any separate certificate to pass the validation through firewall. Please help.

  • AT,

The certificate authority to be imported is the same for every browser. When you import the CA Firefox will ask to trust it.

Try to delete it and reimport it again. Thanks

  • Hi Vineeth,

Import the CA into trusted root manually instead of going forward with Automatic location. Try to import from MMC in the trusted root domains. Follow the below procedure:

    Windows

    • Open the Microsoft Management Consoleby typing "MMC" in the run box.
    • Add the certificates Snap-inby selecting FILE à ADD/REMOVE SNAP-IN...
    • Select Certificatesfrom the list and click Add to display Certificates Snap-in window.
    • Select the Computer Accountand click Next.
    • Click Finishand close the list of snap-ins.
    • Click OKto add the certificates snap-in, which should now be visible in the Add/Remove Snap-ins window.
    • Expand the list of certificate containers, right click Trusted Root Authoritiesand choose All Tasks à Import to start Certificate Import Wizard.
    • Import the Certificate downloaded in step 2 using this wizard.

    Macintosh

    • Download the SSL CA Certificate as shown in step 1.
    • Once downloaded, double-click the Certificate. This launches Keychain Access and displays Certificate Not Trusted Warning.
    • Click Always Trust to import the certificate into login keychain.

    Thanks
