I've been doing a lot of reading and have mixed opinions on what hardware I should be looking at, but most of the opinions are abit dates so I'm looking for some uptodate advice.
I'm looking for an itx solution if possible and definitely need 3-4 lan ports as I have 2 80/20 fttc connections I will be load balancing.
My main network hosts about 20 users over wifi and wired lan, I have an IPSec VPN tunnel to a draytek located at another site. I have IPS running on my current utm running on an i3 hp microserver gen 8.
So my question is has anybody yet fixed the problem of XG booting from a gen8 microserver. If not then has sophos fixed the multi thread support for xg for ips???
I have mainly been looking at super micros selection of c2358/c2558 based mini itx boards based on the size, expand ability and quad nic ports.
I would ideally like to use a mini itx based system but read a lot of posts saying the c2558 can't cope with my xg requirements.
If anyone has any upto date advice and relevant experience would be nice to hear some input.
Thanks.
