Hi all,
Does anyone already has experience with Sophos XG Firewall Firmware version 16.0.5.1? I can't find anything about it.
Don´t know if could be related or not, but i´m experience wireless "cuts" randomly. It´s not a constant behavior (it´s happening at least once a day).
During this period (about a minute), the SSID becomes unavailable. I`m trying to chase the problem on the logs, but i´m noticing that the Wireless logs definition (System Services - Log Settings) are "greyed out" and i cannot enable them.
I´m using a AP15 using two SSID´s.
Now, the second "weird" part. I´ve configured the two SSID (bridge to lan and Guest).
On the GUI, the XG is mixing everything, since my laptop appears has being connected to the Guest SSID (which is not) and my phone to the Sophos (bridge to lan), which it´s also not correct.
Don´t know it´s these could be related (wireless cuts, and this wrongs association) but i´m really cannot understand it.
My computer "rfernandes"
This is the worst version i see for the moment.
My post for exemple : https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/f/initial-setup/86688/upgrade-to-sfos-16-05-1-mr-1-failed
A friend upgrade to MR-1 and have issue with IPSEC tunnel, each time he change parameter he must reboot firewall !!!
Memory leak. IPS CPU usage.
Only issue we've had on 430 hardware is that enabling Sandstorm on email scanning crashes the MTA about once every 20 hours or so. Support confirmed it is a bug that is being investigated at the moment.
We don't use the wireless though.
Cheers,
Charles

The problem I experienced with the 16.05.0 was that my software firewall kept rebooting every 30 seconds. I don't know what the source of the problem was, because I had too little time to research the problem. Maybe it had to do with the IPS problem losts of people had, but I don't know.
So this is why I was wondering what the experience with 16.05.1 is so far.
I've made the same experience with 16.05.2 MR-2!
After I upgraded to this version I get constant reboots every 30secs, a downgrade to the previous firmware also doesn't fix that problem - had to restore a backup.
This is a complete messed up release - now staying on 16.01.3 MR-2...
Running as a VM (Proxmox) on a Dell T20.
It looks like 16.05.02 doesn't like my config, because if I switch back the firmware to the previous 16.05.01 it still keeps rebooting...
But if I upgrade 16.01.3 to 16.05.1 there are no problems, so the 16.05.2 breaks the configuration or someting else shared between firmware versions.
Hi Matthias,
What is the configuration allocated to the VM running SFOS ?
Hi,
the VM has 1 CPU, 4 Cores, 6GB RAM, 32GB Disk Size, 2 NICs (Intel E1000) and Huawei E3372 as Backup Gateway (passthrough USB 3.0).
The Host itself runs on a Intel Xeon Prozessor with Proxmox Virtual Environment and is barely under load.
It's really strange that it runs without problems under 16.01.3 and 16.05.1...
With 16.05.2 MR-2 I can see the bootup, password field and after a few seconds it just reboots again - without the possibility to login. When I switch back the firmware it behaves the same, but not if I stop upgrading on 16.05.1...
