CR25wING migrated to SFOS 16.05.0/16.05.1 MR1 CPU usage permanently about 40%

Hello community...

we have migrated a CR25wING first to SFOS 16.05.0 GA and after that we have a CPU usage permanently between 30% and 50%. After some hours the CPU usage rises to 100 % and no Internet browsing is possible.

We first set no Firewall rules except the default network policy LAN to WAN everyone everything allowed.

No IPS or Webfilters or Applicationfilters are applied to the rule.

Now we updated to SFOS 16.05.1 MR1 and there are no changes.

On appliances without WLAN there is no problem.

I've even set the suggested parameters for IPS

set ips maxsesbytes-settings update 8192
set ips maxpkts 8

but also no changes.

Is there anyone who faces the same issue?

Jürgen,

please give us more details on your configuration:

1. sh ips-settings

Results : Post

2. sh advanced-firewall

Results : Post

3. system diagnostics show disk

Results : Post

4.system diagnostics show Memory

Also try to stop the IPS service from GUI from System Services > Services and see if the CPU goes down.

Also post an output/screenshot of TOP command from advanced shell

Hi lferrara,

first the screenshot for ips-settings

here I tried to change in advanced shell "set ips maxsesbytes update 8192" but it doesn't work...

then the screenshot for advanced Firewall

Here show disk

here show memory

I stopped the IPS service but there are no changes.

and at least the TOP command from advanced shell

the output is changing nearly every second and the top processes are "worker", "apiInterface", "readapiInterface" "ddc-Update" and "dynamic_ifac_i"

Getting dropp outs every 5 minutes. Performance always orange now with avg load @ 3. CPU is only ever around 10%
