certificate error for mobile phones

I have an XG210 in service set up as gateway mode in front of another router. I have the default policy set up with only scan HTTP, NOT https, and the 'no ads or explicit content' web filter plus the 'block p2p' application filter. For mobile users connected to the network, users are getting certificate errors for many websites. I have attached a screenshot of my phone.

It appears to be something related to the webfiltering policy, but I am not sure why the XG is putting a cert in there when I don't have https turned on. Any ideas?

  • Paul,

Although this is not a fix, if you decided you want to enable HTTPS scanning you can deploy the CA to the mobile devices on your network. Almost all MDM's will work. Cisco Meraki is what we use and it is free for up to 100 devices. Very easy to deploy a CA by creating a policy and joining the devices to your organization. Create a BYOD policy if they are not company owned. Just a thought I wanted to pass along.
