After a backup/restore to a new hardware the heartbeat connection remains active with the old serial number

After a backup/restore to a new hardware the heartbeat connection remains active with the old device serial which is a mistake. In order to fix that you need to clear registration from the XG Firewall and do the registration again where the serial of the new hardware is connected to Sophos Central. System version is 16.05.0 GA.

AFAIK this is not a bug but it works in this way. HB is bound to the Serial and the Sophos Cloud accout, so if you change the Appliance, you have to go back in the cloud, delete the relation and add the new XG serial from the XG or manually from the cloud.

I agree with you. The fact that the new appliance is shown and works ok with the old serial in the cloud though is a bug.
