Mystery IP Address

I have a rather odd question. I have Sophos XG 16.05 installed on vSphere 6.5. When I logged into the host client for vSphere this morning, I was reviewing some of the settings for the VM used for Sophos and noticed the list of IP addresses being used by the VM. All were familiar to me, except for one: 169.254.234.5. I did not recall setting anything up with that IP in Sophos.

I then went through Sophos to check the various network settings, including interfaces, VMs, guest access IP assignment ranges, etc. etc. but did not see that address being used anywhere.

I then did a search on the forums and it appears that this address might be used as a default for IPSec. However, I've not set up any IPSec connections. The only thing I have done of late is create some VLANs, but using 10.x.x.x address ranges.

I did not see this address previously.

When I SSH in to a server on the LAN, I see in the routing table 169.254.0.0/255.255.0.0 and I can ping 169.254.234.5

Everything seems to be functioning just fine, but I find this a bit puzzling. I'm sure it's something innocuous, but would like to understand how this was created and why, with of course apologies in advance if it's something self-evident that is escaping a noob such as myself.
