Can't use VNC over SSL VPN Connection

Hi Team

We use XG125 Firewall. We have configure the SSL VPN Remote users.

Over the SSL VPN, the Remote Desktop works fine. However over the SSL VPN, the VNC is not accessible.

Please provide me the necessary assistance to get it going as it is affecting our remote users access to the systems in the main office.

Looking forward for some quick assistance.

Regards

Jossy

  • Jossy,

make sure you have created a proper Firewall rule to allow VNC protocol (TCP 5900 by default).

Check the firewall log on what is blocked.

    Thanks

  • Hi Luk

Do I have to configure a two way firewall rule or just oneway (VPN - LAN) should be good?

    Regards

    Jossy

  • If you go to protect/applications there you will se the option "aplication filter", i recommend you to create a new one called as you want, and make it from another "profile", for example, "myappfilter based on (template) Block high risk (4-5) apps", so, then you will be able to modify that profile and add applications to deny or allow. Finally when you setup the firewall rule (you can work with 1 if you want) choose the profile you have done in the part of application filter.

Sorry about my english is not my native language, good luck. :)
