Hide Sophos IP - Rewrite source address (Masquerading) for IPv6

I want to see the public ipv6 address from my pc when i go to http://test-ipv6.com

But at the moment i see the Sophos XG ipv6.

I disabled Rewrite source address for the ipv6 firewall rule.

But then i have no internet connection for ipv6.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

  • You also need to disable MASQ, but the web proxy will not pass your internal address.

So, if you want to use the web checking features of the XG you cannot pass your internal address to the external interface regardless of IPv4 or IPv6.

So yes, IPv6 is good for the address ranges it offers, but until web surfing without using a proxy with all the checking features is installed is available you are stuck with your external address for websites.

For none websites yuo should be able to create a rule that will allow traffic out using your internal address.
