Sophos XG - external router and internal network on same subnet?

I am upgrading the Sophos UTM to XG. The router is externally managed and sits on 10.10.10.253/8. The Sophos UTM was on IP address 10.10.10.80 and the internal network uses the 10.10.10.0/8 range. I don't have time to reconfigure the internal network and am unable to contact the Router support company until next week. Is there a way to configure the XG as above? With internal IP 10.10.10.80/8 and external IP 10.10.10.252/8?

This is in a school environment and I need to configure all of the Web Filtering, we also have 20 Sophos Wireless Ads controlled by the UTM/XG.

Thanks for your help.

  • Mike,

how is the UTM now configured?

You could use a Bridge configuration. If your internal computers are using the extranl router as their default gateway, go for the bridge configuration.

If you can, plese share a network diagram.

    Regards,
