Heartbeat for Home edition

So I recently installed Sophos XG v.16 and have been messing around with it, and found out I could use the new heartbeat feature. I only have the home edition of the firewall and installed just the basic endpoint software for PC, I don't have a 30 day trial to the cloud (which I thought you needed the cloud). Was I just mistaken that you had to buy a subscription to use Heartbeat or is it now free for home users to use?

  • Ok but I don't 'think' I  have either, I just have a sophos central account that I made several months ago when the 'home AV' was released. I don't 'think' I have either of those cloud services, I know I certainly have nothing subscription based unless one of those is free and comes with a sophos central account? This is what I have, then I downloaded the 'Sophos endpoint' protection...So is this free to use or is it time limited?

  • You can check the cloud version by clicking on your name in top-right corner.

To get more information contact your partner or a Sophos sales representative.

    Thanks

  • Ok it says Endpoint Advanced Protection, Evaluation, 1 under usage and it's in red. But no expiration date, limit or license #. So is it just glitched out do you think?

  • If it says evaluation it will be valid for only 30 days.

I am not sure if the expiry date will appear for evaluation products.

As I said you should contact Sophos or your Partner for more details. Here the community is used for technical issues only.
