Slow inter VLAN file transfer

did you apply IPS to the rule that is managing the intra-vlan traffic?

In another thread, stopping the IPS service did the trick (but it is not the solution :-(     )

I believe I am having the same issue; slow VLAN to VLAN throughput. I am only able to max out at ~600 Mbps when I have LACP on two ports for 2 Gbps. When I remove the XG from the equation by moving the two machines to the same VLAN I am able to get the full 2 Gbps. The hardware on the XG that i'm testing with is an Intel Core-i7 2600, 8GB RAM, and a Intel I340-T4 quad port NIC. On the XG, the CPU never goes above 10% utilization and RAM at 35%.

I have IPS enabled on other rules but not the rule for this traffic to my NAS. I have attached a screenshot of my rule:

Try a test with stopping the ips service under system services.

Hi thanks for the reply.

after stopping the service the transfer rate gets a little bit better (from 20 MB/s to 58 MB/s). In the same vlan i get 110 MB/s)

Make sure you are using fixed speed on all nic, switch, other devices.

Remove the link aggregation, keep the ips service stopped and see if you get 1gb/s.

Hi i allready set the speed to 1gb full duplex on the xg and the netgear Switch. Same result. I dont use link aggregationn.

Try turning off the flood protection settings.

where can i disable the flood protection ?

Under Intrusion Prevention > DOS & Spoof Protection
