MAC-based Surfing Quota and Network Traffic

Hoyou can create MAC address objects under host and service and create firewall rule and apply quota.

There is no option in the firewall rules to apply Surfing Quota and Network Traffic Quota

Surfing quota can be applied only to users. Same thing for network traffic quota.

it is really strange that we cannot apply such a simple policy into firewall rules...

i am on the latest firmware update & there is no solution or a workaround for this basic thing...

i'm disappointed, as many of sophos users are...especially when deploying in an enterprise where guests & clientless accounts are the most..

Hope that sophos will find a solution for this

The requirement based on MAC is kinda new to me. 

Deployed already XG750 and couple of other appliances but never saw the requirement to do it based on MAC addresses. 

Could you explain the use case a little bit further?
