I'm coming from a SonicWALL so am unsure if/how to do this with an XG.
We have 2 sites connected by a point-to-point Layer 2 fiber connection on Port 2. Each site also has a coax cable modem on Port 3. If the fiber goes down, we'd like the VPN to come up and take over all traffic. With SonicWALLs, you setup the VPNs, which are always on. You then setup a network monitor to ping across the fiber route. If it fails, the route for the VPN, with a lower metric takes gets enabled. As soon as you can ping across the fiber again, the VPN route gets disabled. Is this possible on an XG? Is there another way to use the VPN as a backup to my fiber?
Thanks in advance.
