Multiple STAS collectors

Hi,

I have 2 domains controllers and I am planning to implement STAS. I found article how to configure STAS on single DC (and this works) and on multiple DC where one DC is running Collector proces and others are running just Agent. Is there somewhere manual how to install two collectors and configure them in HA on SF side?  I want to handle failure of single DC and still be able to use STAS.

    Pawel,

    you can install up to 5 STAC inside the same collector group. Once you have installed the STAS on both DC, you should add the other STAS collector inside the Collector list and add both Collector inside the same group.

    If XG is not able to reach the first collector (because it is down), requests are sent to the second collector inside the same collector group.

    You can simulate a failvoer by closing STAS ports used between XG and AD server using Windows Firewall. Test it on a test account.

    As usual very helpfull answer :). One more question just to clarify. I will have 2 domain controllers, on each controller I will have Sophos collector and agent. Can I configure Sophos agents on both domain controller to talk to both collectors?

    both AD will be even STAS collector, but only one will be used by XG to get user information; the other collector will be used in case the primary fails. Both collectors do not talk each other, but they are up and running and XG will do the rest.
