AP55 and 5ghz auto channel does not work.

Hi,

reviewing the available wifi with a wifi analyser on an android tablet shows both AP55s (XG and UTM) as being on channel 36.

I have dynamic channel selection enabled with time based scanning on all day every day enabled.

I have tried toggling the dynamic channel selection, but didn't work. A side note is that the 2.4ghz auto dynamic channel selection works.

Why is getting the 5ghz band to work so difficult?

  • Is there a place that shows what all was addressed in the individual firmware releases?  (i.e Wifi)

  • Not that I can see. That gets me started on another issue highlighted by this release, the AP and RED firmware updates are part of pattern updates not part of the firmware which means they get treated differently and being "hot" fixes don't get automatically applied.

    Dave, I suspect if you review the fixes listed in the Sophos wireless forum, they are ones or very simlar were applied to the XG version. Interestingly, no update for the UTM?
