Looking for tips to save time evaluating a xg310

I am looking for tips on how to set up a XG310 the quickest way...trying to migrate from a Dell NSA 3500 to the XG310 but have to do a evaluation and get final approval to purchase it.

 

It was a little tricky but I already got it assigned a ip address in my network to access it.  I got tons of stuff in the dell sonicwall to migrate to the XG310.  Any suggestions?

    Ray,

    If you never touched XG my advise is always to test it in a virtual environment as long as you can and then try it on real environment. In this way when you have a hw XG you are ready to test it with proper knowledge and reduce the failure.

    To import objects you can use import/export feature inside Administration menu (I think) or use API to create new objects. You can find API documentation on Sophos website.
