Setup XG115W DCHP/ wireless

Kevin,

configuring bridge to AP Lan on XG where wi-fi module is built-in requires additional steps:

DHCP should work and be configured under Network > DHCP > Add DHCP server for the proper interface.

Make sure to configure first Wi-FI networks (Bridged and Separate Zone) and then configure the DHCP Server for each one.

Routing between the 2 networks works without static routing but Firewall Rules are needed if you want to allow both networks to communicate.

thanks for the quick answer.

 

what i did is set the bridge mode on port 1 and wifi this worked right away, when i tried to bridge port 3 and wifi it failed over and over..
i switched port 1 and 3 now.

routing between the networks is not necessary now.

Kevin, you. Am bridge only one nic with wifi I think. Bridge interface supports up to 4 nics but I am not sure about wifi. Why do you want to add more than one nic? Thanks

i only wanted to bridge nic 3 and wifi but that wouldnt work.
now i changed nic 3 into 1 and bridged it. Now it works wel!

next is setup rest of the firewall rules.
