No bootable device?

Hi all,

I'm very new to Sophos after moving from Untangle and I'm trying to install XG Firewall on a spare laptop computer I have lying around. I followed the installation instructions exactly to the letter using the program mentioned, on a 4GB flash drive, and while the installer appears to run successfully, when I reboot the BIOS tells me "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". Looking at the partitions using a Ubuntu live CD, the disk is completely empty... Please help!

  • I have the same situation. The installer finish without error but when i reboot the message is "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key".

    My hard is:

    Intel D945GCLF2D

    2GB DDR2

    WD 320GB SATA

I can install and try Sophos UTM (in the same hardware) and work's a little slow, but i don't care now.

Maybe the chipset is not compatible?
