Admin console unreachable after changing LAN settings to match my network.

I have a new XG-115w firewall that I am attempting to install at a client's location. Initially, I was able to reach the ADMIN page, enter the static IP information for the internet connection, synchronize the licensing, etc.

I connected it to the LAN, and changed the IP address of the firewall to match my network.

From that point on I have been unable to reach the admin page. When I connect my laptop to the LAN port, I get a DHCP address, with the Gateway 192.168.1.1 which I what I assigned.

I cannot figure out how to reset back to defaults, or how to get into the firewall ... you name it, I can't do it.

Help?

  • Ron,

If you are not able to ping either the XG interface, connect a vga cable to you appliance, a keyboard and once are prompted to type password, you will see the console, option one to change the IP or choose other options (can't remember the number) to reset to factory default. Use 0 to exit from menu.

    Thanks
