Messages come with a delay

Good afternoon!
We have the equipment Sophos R200iNG (SFOS 15.01.0 MR-3) in the amount of two pieces, and set the balance between the two.
There is a problem with a delay of mail from 10 minutes to several hours. When you send multiple messages from one destination to the short period of time (10-20 seconds) delivery is performed with a large gap in time (as stated above). When trying to connect to a mail via "Telnet" periodic server is not responding. Our company daily receives about 4,000 letters.
Is this possible with a high activity of sending and receiving messages?

У нас есть  оборудование Sophos R200iNG (SFOS 15.01.0 MR-3) в количестве двух штук, и настроена балансировка между ними.Возникла проблема с задержкой почты, от 10 минут до нескольких часов. При отправке нескольких сообщений с одного адресата с небольшим промежутком времени (10-20 секунд) доставка выполняется с большим промежутком во времени (как писалось выше). Когда пытаемся подключиться к почте через "Telnet" периодический сервер не отвечает. Наша компания в день получает около 4000 писем.

Возможно ли это с большой активностью отправки и получения сообщений?

    HI Rashid, 

    Sorry to hear about the issue , where is your Mail server . In-house or external . ?

    Did you apply SMTP scanning ? if so any performance improvement when not applied. ?

    Check the Header information of the mail that is delivered with a huge delay and check the time frame of the Mail sent to destination  address and the Hops in between  ?

    HI Rashid, 

    I have checked the header information and found that the issue is with your Mail Vendor service provider. 

    We have found that the mail is been delayed for 3 hours from one hop to another 

    fallback6.mail.ru (94.100.181.147) by Exch1.contoso.com , is the server caused the delay you might need to check on that . In this picture XG is not responsible for the delay you are facing.
