Hello all
I've recently made the migration from UTM9 to XG and was playing with the certificates section for published web servers. In my stupidity, I've applied a StartCom free SSL certificate against the administrative portal 172.16.0.2:4444 that was issued to an email address <name>@<domain>.co.uk and now I'm unable to gain access to the XG to revert the change.
IE warns the page is not secure and does not present the usual continue anyway button, even after adding to trusted sites and removing a bunch of check boxes from the Advanced settings
Chrome also refuses to load the page, giving a few more details but nevertheless not allowing me access:
"172.16.0.2 normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to 172.16.0.2 this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be 172.16.0.2, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit 172.16.0.2 at the moment because the website sent scrambled credentials that Google Chrome cannot process. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later."
I've spent several days and nights getting the XG setup so I'd really like to not start from scratch for something as simple as a certificate. Please help!!
Thanks in advance :)
Mike
