public IP address for VPN not changing

I setup a L2tp and PPTP VPN when I connect to either VPN my Public IP doesn't change to the VPN address I'm connecting too. It was working but stopped for some reason.

    Is there an easy way of doing that? PPTP is pretty straight forward. I could telnet into the firewall and run a command if you could help me out with that.

    For PPTP and L2TP, the routing decisions are made by the client:

    For Windows 7:

    1. Select Control Panel > Network and Internet > Connect to a network.
    2. Right click the VPN connection.
    3. Select Properties.
      The VPN properties dialog box appears.
    4. Select the Networking tab.
    5. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the list and click Properties.
    6. On the General tab, click Advanced.
      The Advanced TCP/IP Settings dialog box appears.
    7. On the IP Settings tab, clear the Use default gateway on remote network check box.

    For Windows Vista or XP:

    1. Select Control Panel > Network Connections and right-click the VPN connection.
    2. Select Properties.
      The VPN properties dialog box appears.
    3. Select the Networking tab.
    4. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the list box and click Properties.
      The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.
    5. On the General tab, click Advanced.
      The Advanced TCP/IP Settings dialog box appears.
    6. Windows XP — On the General tab, clear the Use default gateway on remote network check box.
      Windows Vista — On the Settings tab, clear the Use default gateway on remote network check box.

    You can push routing decisions only using SSL Client VPN.
