If your HW has more resources, XG will use only the HW resources defined in the link.

Also the HCL that applies to SG applies to XG too.

the 2nd link appeared to be the same as the first.  I had read the limitations.  What i was looking for was hardware recommendations based on what you all had already deployed and was happy with.  Was thinking a small bookshelf device. but didn't know what brand/barebone system processor etc has shown good results.

If you will use the Home License, you have the CPU and RAM limits I have mentioned. For 100 Mb you should be ok with Home License if you have few users/devices.

If you have a high number of devices, you will need to add more cores/ram and buy a license (n.of core and RAM)

Thanks, so the celeron processor in this is strong enough?  Do you have all of the protection features turned on?

Just a brief of my features activate or not:

The Malware scanning is not activated because many flow are in https now and you have to decrypt it (and CA problem).

But Web policy, application control, and IPS (+Advanced Threat Protection) is ON.

I use also this box has a reverse proxy to protect my Synology.

And 2 VPN, 1 ssl to another sophos xg and 1 pptp.

For me, the power of the celeron is ok.
