Hardware or Software Problem?? Gateway goes down for a while then comes up again. When gateway down WEB GUI not reachable

Hello everybody,

 

I build my own sophos XG on a mini PC with Gigabyte Mainboard GA -N3150N-D3V  8GB Ram 60GB intenso SSD. Running under Sophos 16.01.

Several times a day I get the Mail "Gateway down" or only the mail "gatewy come up". During the time the getway is down there is no  internet access an the web gui is no reachabel.

When I get the email "Gateway come up" I have internet access an the web GUI is reachable.

Is this a hardware problem or a software problem??

    Asus board w/Intel 3150 CPU

    8 GB RAM

    Dual port Intel nic (WAN, LAN)

    1 Realtek nic for OPT interface (guest wireless)

    dhcp goes, then web gui goes. devices statically assigned IP's continue to function with WAN access

    Looks like another big thread with dhcp which is just part of my issue; I also experience the web gui going down too.

    Sometimes good for a week, sometimes good for a day. Have replaced the SSD just to rule out disk. That didn't help.
