WAF Setup confusion

I have 2 separate website private IPs and 2 public IPs.  One for our main site (www.xxxxx.com) and one for a test site (webtest.xxxxx.com).  I setup an IP Alias for the Local IP on my LAN port.  I then created the HTTP business rule for domain webtest.xxxxx.com to the webtest server.  So now the rules shows SRC=Any Host/Any Port DEST=#port1:0 (ip alias).  I can't get anything from outside on the webtest.xxxxx.com public IP.

A non-HTTP rule opening port 80 and 443 work fine.

  • UGH! I can't believe I problems with this.  It was easy to fix once I figured out the correct steps. In case anyone else needs it.

    1) Create IP alias for the public IP on the WAN port (Port2 in my case)

    2) Create http business rule and use the IP alias as your Hosted Address.

    3) Web Server will be your private IP address.

Setup anything else you need and it should work. I needed Pass Host Header at least.
