PC Can't Connect to Internet Through Firewall

I just recently installed a Sophos XG firewall on a desktop and have managed to get it working so far. The firewall can connect to my router and give my PC an IP address, but my PC can't connect to the internet.

I've been looking around the internet and stumbled across community post from a couple of months ago. Basically, it said that you can't use the same network on a LAN and WAN interface which I understand. But I don't know how to change the subnet in the firewall.

  • Marc,

you cannot have the same subnet ip address on different NIC. You can bridge both LAN and WAN and use 192.168.1.x/24, or the other way is to assign a different ip to LAN interface (for example 192.168.2.x/24). In both cases you do not have to change the router ip address.
