Network policy with a schedule doesn't deactivate when scheduled time is over

I have created a policy to block traffic from certain devices (identified by a MAC group) for a time period.  As a test, I set the schedule for a 15 minute interval to see if it would activate and deactivate as expected.  When the time for the rule to be active passed, the traffic got blocked from those devices as expected.  However, 15 minutes later when the time expired, the system said the rule was inactive, but all traffic was still blocked.  Only when I manually deactivated the rule did traffic start flowing again.

Has anyone experienced that type of problem with the schedules like that?

  • Hi Troy,

Verify from which Rule ID does the traffic gets blocked after the block schedule is over. You can verify this through Packet Capture here.

Check the time set in the XG is correct and post the screenshot of the rules configured for the scheduling.

    Thanks
