Ipsec VPN - Route Based Connection

Hello folks,

Currently in Cyberoam devices we have an good option in Ipsec VPN config.

Route Based Connection / Bind With An Interface

This allow us usage Dynamic routing (OSPF)  with VPN tunnels.

I can't see this option in Sophos Copernicus Firmware, could you inform me where is this feature? I need this to upgrade my Cyberoam devices to Sophos Copernicus Firmware :)

Best regards,

-Carlos

  • I posed a similar question and referenced yours question as an example to my account team and thisf the response.Does this work for you?

"If the desired result is to carry dynamic routing protocols over the IPSec VPN, we have that option even in v15.  The below article describes how to configure this."

  • Hi RichardLopez,

    Thank you by your info.

Well, I already did verified this KB, but GRE in my case is not possible to be used.

    "

    Note:

GRE tunnels cannot be configured on Dynamic WAN interfaces like PPPoE and DHCP.

    "

IPSEC support WAN interfaces with PPPoE and DHCP.

Currently I have many Cyberoam devices WAN interfaces configured with PPPoE and DHCP and other point is, these Cyberoam devices are running VPN service with IPSEC/Bind Interface routing. Therefore my question about this feature.
IMHO the migrate process should support this as other configs or at least support compatible/similar feature.

    Best regards,
