Spam quarantine inconsistent

Hello,

I'm running SFOS 15.01.0 MR-3 and have setup a spam rule that drops spam messages but also sends the message to quarantine.

Whilst the drop part of the rule is working fine (as shown in the Email logs), whether the message is actually sent to the quarantine is inconsistent.
Sometimes the quarantine will work for 3-4 days then stop working for up to 2 weeks.

Is there any way to restart the quarantine/email scanning service?

Here is the scanning rule image:

Any assistance is appreciated.

Derek

  • Hi Darek,

Awarrensmtp daemon checks for quarantine flag. Hence restarting awarrensmtp services might do the job. To do that, take SSH to XG and got to Advance shell, execute:

service awarrensmtp:restart -ds nosync (This will restart SMTP services on XG)

Alongside, Quarantine emails are stored under this directory: /var/quarantine/QBin.x .

    Thanks
