  • When we Install the Sophos SSL vpn client, we can connect to one client vpn.

How can I configure the Sophos SSL vpn client to connect to other vpn site, or several vpn sites.

How can I change from one vpn site to another? In the previous cyberoam config I would change the server settings, but in the sophos client I don't see that option.

    thank you,

    Nelson Santos

  • NelsonSantos - Did you ever get an answer to this? We are rolling out Sophos XG firewall's to multiple customers and I can't figure out how to have multiple entries/configurations in the SSL VPN client so that I can choose which firewall I want to connect to. With the Fortigate VPN client I could have entries for all our customers then when I opened the VPN client I choose the configuration I wanted and clicked connect. I don't see a way to do this with the Sophos SSL client.

  • Nathan,

SSL client on XG works like the one that comes from utm 9. You should install ssl vpn client only once and then download only the configuration. Right click on the traffic lights icon and you have multiple configuration.

  • Hi,

I didn't got an answer, but the way it works is this:

For the first time You download  the configuration file + installer for your operating system (ex. windows) then for the other clients you download and install the configuration file only and so on.....

Then in the tray bar it will appear the "trafic light icon" and when you right click on it, you should see all of the vpn client's for each configuration....

    Regards,

    Nelson

  • Nelson you are correct. This is the way to have multiple ssl configuration. Mine answer was shorter!

    :-)

  • We use a generic login (example: ITSupportVPNUser) with all our customers, the issue I ran into is that because the username was the same at each customer and the fact that the username is the config file name it was over writing each profile so there were never more than one. A simple way around this is to manually name and place the .ovpn config files in:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\config\

Hope that helps others in the future.

  • Thank you, this was the answer I was looking for.
