What would be the equivalent device/license for the migration from CR to XG

Hello togehter,

we are thinking about to migrate from cyberoam to sophos xg firewall.

Now we found this article: https://community.sophos.com/kb/de-de/122869

It seems there is the possibility to migrate and in our case, this would apply for the CR50iNG and CR100iNG.

My questions now:

  • If we would buy new hardware appliances, which XG appliances would be the counterpart to CR50iNG and 100iNG?
  • Which licenses would we get by migrating to XG if we have:
    • Security Value Subscription (SVS)
    • Security Value Subscription Plus (SVSP)
    • Total Value Subscription (TVS)
    • Total Value Subscription Plus (TVSP)
    • Comprehensive Value Subscription (CVS)
  • Is it possible to use/activate the Sophos Sandstorm after migration?
  • If we migrate, what happens to the configuration(Firewall rules/VPN connection - should automatically reconnect)

  • Hello togehter,

so I found this documentation in relation to the license questions: https://www.ectacom.com/wp-content/uploads/Cyberoam-to-Sophos-Firewall-License-Migration-Guide.pdf

    • What does hte Subscription: "E2E+ Upgrade" mean?

So the following questions are still unackknowledged:

    • If we would buy new hardware appliances, which XG appliances would be the counterpart to CR50iNG and 100iNG?
    • Is it possible to use/activate the Sophos Sandstorm after migration?
    • If we migrate, what happens to the configuration(Firewall rules/VPN connection - should automatically reconnect)?

Then I found this knowledge article: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-US/123251

There are some answers to FAQs.

    In relation to this question:

    • Can CyberoamOS devices be managed by Sophos Firewall Manager (SFM)?

No. Sophos Firewall Manager only allows management of Sophos XG Firewall based devices.

    • What does this exactly mean?
    • If the CR-Device is upgraded to XG-Firmware, is this a "XG Firewall based device"?

    Greetings
