Any step by steps guides available for configuration Modem/Router combo?

I'm somewhat a novice on firewall connection and configuration.

I have searched, but can't really find a step by step guide for someone new to firewall configuration utilizing a modem/router combo.

I have the current setup and need a little guidance:

ISP Modem/Router Combo - 192.168.0.1 Gateway - DHCP range 192.168.0.1-100

Physical installation on standalone server of XG Firewall with two NIC ports - LAN Set at 192.168.0.254 - I can access the web interface from my desktop with a static IP in 192.168.0.0/24

I'm a little lost on how to setup the XG firewall LAN and WAN

I am not sure what the interface config should be for the WAN considering I have the gateway on the router and DHCP supplying to range of 192.168.0.1-100

I was assuming I need one cable from my modem/router to port 1 on my XG firewall - Then one cable from port 2 on my XG firewall to a managed/unmanaged switch. Devices connected to this switch would utilize DHCP from XG firewall with DHCP range 192.168.0.101-250 and rules and traffic policing would be available on any devices connected to this switch.

Thank you for any information someone more experienced than myself can provide.

    You can't have 192.168.0.0/24 on both the WAN and LAN interface, XG will not be able to pass traffic from one to the other.  

    Option 1 - Keep 192.168.0.0/24 on the WAN, towards the ISP router.  Then put something like 192.168.1.0/24 on the LAN.  You would need to do dynamic/static routing on the ISP router, so it knows how to get to the new network.  XG would then be the DHCP server.

    Option 2 - Configure XG in Bridge Mode.  The bridge interface will be assigned an IP address on the existing 192.168.0.0/24 network and traffic will flow between the 2 physical interfaces.   In Bridge Mode, I was never able to get XG to function as a DHCP server. But,  "theoretically" you should be able to continue to use your existing router as the DHCP server (there is a KB article about this).
