syslog server recommendation

Hi All,

we are trying to get web usage monitoring/reporting working.  After turning on single-signon and all of the appropriate logging, our hard drive filled up and crashed our box.  We were able to get everything back, but tech support has recommended setting up a syslog server to offload the data from the internal drive.

There are tons of syslog servers to choose from.  I'm looking for a recommendation from the Sophos community.  our main use for it would not be the normal monitoring/alerting for faults necessarily.  Its more for generating web usage reports, so we need something with nice, pretty visual reporting that is easy to configure.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Zane,

    Being that you are interested in the reporting components around web usage with user information I would suggest you checkout the Sophos iView appliance, it is available as a virtual appliance and can be downloaded via . The free trial is a virtual appliance with 100Gb of storage (perpetual license), you can however upgrade to larger storage plans with support contracts.

    The iView appliance will give you the same reporting capabilities as the onboard iView reporting engine included with XG appliances.
