dcom error 10009 on Cyberoam CR50iNG

Hi,
I have cyberoam CR50iNG - 10.6.3 MR-3 With SSO authentification . Two servers ADDS Windows 2008 R2 standard with CTAS V2.1.2.5
I have a lot of errors DCOM Event ID 10009, frequently ( every seconds)
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer 169.254.233.118 using any of the configured protocols.
There are many ip address APIPA.
Always the error is the same on the two DC servers
How can i resolve this please?

  • Sorry, Toufik, but this is the wrong forum. Virtually no one here knows anything about Cyberoam.

  • Hi,

you need to be in the XG forum and I suggest you upgrade to v15 mr3 but be prepared for bandwidth loss, mr2 seems to be the answer, but doesn't have all the security patches of mr3.

I just gave up on XG for one of my test firewalls until at least v16 beta is released. My UTM 9.4 replacement runs rings around XG 15 for performance, connectivity and mail handling etc.

    Ian,

  • Hi Toufik,

DCOM error with event ID 10009 is generated when Cyberoam Transparent Authentication Suite (CTAS) does not connect the system over WMI, WMI works on DCOM and RPC, if remote system does not respond WMI query then this event is logged by AD under Event Viewer. Such errors are information provided to the user by Microsoft Service, and hence user can ignore such events.

For further information on DCOM error, refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298095.

    Thanks

  • Thinks to all

In the dashboard, there is  alert announcing that the device can be migrated to the SF-OS.

I just ask if i can do it or i will contact cyberoam support to do the upgrade?

    Thanks

  • Sachin, please move this thread to the appropriate sub-forum in the XG Forums.
