XG does not have a special check box as UTM "transparent mode". You only need to create a bridge (LAN and WAN) and create policy rule where Web Filter and Application filter are applied. That's all!

I couldn't get that to work, had to add a MASQ to the policy which defeats the purpose of the proxy.

I run in Bridge Mode without any MASQ.  However, it's still not fully transparent.  XG still shows as a hop in a traceroute.  Set up UTM in bridge and it really is fully transparent and does not show as an IP hop ... this is the desired behavior.
