Can't get OpenVPN on Android to work

I have just checked the ticket NC-10504 on this and it looks like we do have a fix, coming end of this month (tentatively August 30th). I will update if I receive any other information.

May have just been included in a release to the v16 beta group, will confirm by Tuesday next week.

Looks like it didn't make it into latest beta 4 https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/v16beta/f/175/t/79945 , should be in beta 5, will try to give you a concrete answer next week.

So what does that mean as far as making into the next release?  When will it be in a public release?

It was actually released in Beta 3 https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/v16beta/f/175/t/79307 look for NC-10504 :). So the fix is in beta.

Our clients are getting nervous as the problem is still there.

Is there any eta of the fix for global public?

Or a work around?

one week later... Customer want to go to another sollution as sophos can't deliver a sollution or work around...

I know this takes time, but without some specific dates on release, I can't convince the customer that a sollution is on his way...

We have confirmation that the SFOS V16 Beta 4 would be released by the end of this month.  I  would recommend you to wait till then. As there is no work around, besides by using SFOS V16 Beta 3 which is available at this moment you would able to resolve this error.  If it does not work out on Beta 3 kindly notify us .

When will it make it into a public release?

Is there really that much of a disconnect between departments at Sophos or am I misunderstanding this? It appears beta 4 was released on Sept 1: https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/v16beta/f/175/t/79945

We are still waiting for the public release and sollution....

I just installed the latest v16 from the beta download and it is working after regenerating the application cert.  Thanks!!  Version 16 is a much better layout as well.  Good work guys! 

Hi slikone27 , do you mean the appliance certificate or the single user certificate? I tried to delete the user certificate, I got no more polar error but I cannot connect ( iOS Openvpn client ) , the App tells me : connection timeout err , event disconnected , it seems to login correctly and after a couple of seconds it stops.

I deleted the user and user cert and recreated the user so it would redo the user cert just in case. But using the regenerate appliance certificate is what ultimately fixed it I believe. The original cert generated by v15 didn't have the date field I believe that the new OpenVPN client was looking for.

Hi, as there are people that had success by regenerating the certificate, I also want to give it a shot.

Can someone explain me how to regenerate the certificate?

you can re-generate the certificate under Certificate > Certificate TAB and click on the gear next to Appliance Certificate to re-generate it.

Then you have to download the ssl client again (so the new certificate is there).
