Can't get OpenVPN on Android to work

Tried importing the cert a bunch of times and I keep getting an error while trying to connect:

OpenVPN core error : PolarSSL: error parsing cert certificate : X509 - The date tag value is invalid

Has anyone got the android openvpn app working?  Thanks!

  • Hi All,

Following an update to the OpenVPN client for Android and iOS, all Android and iOS clients are no longer to connect to the SSL VPN on SFOS. When attempting to connect, error appears:

"error parsing cert certificate: X509 - The date tag or value is invalid"

Investigation shows this issue is caused by the creation & expiry date fields in the certificates generated by SFOS for the SSL VPN using an invalid format.

The bug id for this issue is NC-10504; under development.

    Thanks
