Firewall Manager - Device Group

Hi Stefano,

User can create a Device group using Device Group criteria like XG device Model Name, Firmware version, Company Name, Country, State, City and Device Name wise.User can select Device Name as a criterion multiple times. All the Devices starting with specified name prefix will be grouped dynamically.

To create a Group go to System Management > Device Settings > Managed Devices > Device Group

Hello Ravi, after creating the group device 'periferie'  using device name and comma separeted, I define a group device with 2 firewalls (XG1 and XG2)

After that, 'Device Configuration'-->select group --> 'periferie', it open a Filter mask where I have to select only one of the two firewall belonging the group

Differently from predefined group 'all managed device' where it permit to select the entire group

then I select XG1, I define a policy using Policy, add firewall policy

After click 'save', clicking 'all device' , I see just only XG1 and not the also the XG2

Honestly I remember that until yesterday clicking filter 'all device', I was able to select every group...

Hi Stefano,

You need to just select the group 'periferie' (Device Configuration'-->select group --> 'periferie' ). No need to select XG device there,if you want to push configuration to all XG Devices in Device Group.

In Screenshot, only XG-Romagna device is showing ,because you have selected that device from periferie group.

Hello Ravi the problem is that when I select Device Configuration'-->select group --> 'periferie', FM force me to select the filter!...

Just I select the group appear a pop-up. You can see in the image below

Now I have to select one of two XG-Device...

hello Ravi, I am checking the group definition: System Management--> Device Settings-->Managed Devices--> Device Group

You explain me to use multiple time the same filter 'Device Name', but selecting the second time the same filter, I receive an error: Condition already selected

I have to select one time 'Device Group Criteria'  and insert the String separated by comma

Possible that the problem related to the selection of group during policy configuration is retalated to group device configuration?

Hi Staefano,

We have verified the issue in SFM-MR-1 Firmware and found it is as behavior.Currently in SFM Admin can not select all appliance for the selected group but can only select Nodes at each Hierarchy.

Improvement request is already taken for future release.Reference ID: NCCC-1938.
