There is no configuration option to import valid Email Addresses from Active Directory.

This can be feasible with our Sophos Email Appliance. I think you are trying to achieve something like an alias map. It is a mechanism that substitues one email address for another. Directory services alias maps can be retrieved by the Email Appliance from your directory services server, and you can also create custom alias maps.

thanks for clarification.

What I would like to have is that only valid email adresses are allowed to receive email and all other adresses get rejected directly at the Gateway. Not any Special mapping.
But if this does not work, thats OK.

Maybe you can think about it in one of the later Releases for Sophos XG.

Hello, I too expected it would have been possible to reject incoming smtp session when an invalid recipient was addressed. Will this feature be included in next release?

Any news on this on v16? Is it possible to do yet?

Looking at the feature list of XG, recipient verification is already available (as it is in UTM9) but I can't for the life of me work out how to enable it.

I agree with other posts. There was an option "Recipient Verification" in UTM9, it would be really nice to have this option back in Sophos XG.
