Client authentication fails after MR2.

I have noticed that Client Authentication Agent on a Mac fails to automatically authenticate me to the firewall after wake-up. It started to occur after upgrade to MR2.

Anyone else observing that behaviour? On a different platform?

  • Hi Slawski,

After the upgrade to MR2 my Authentication Client on OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 continues to work, there is a slight delay when the PC wakes-up before it authenticates. It does however authenticate without any interaction from the user.

I am using the Client Authentication Agent version 1.2.6 which was installed prior to the upgrade to MR2.

  • Leon,

Before I reply to the thread, I installed the new version that comes with MR2. Before MR2, Client Authentication Agent was working with no issue. I am using Yosemite 10.10.5.

  • Hi Luk,

Possibly something to do with Yosemite 10.10.5 interaction, as mine is working with the current El Capitan 10.11.4.

The quoted version of the Authentication Client as 1.2.6, is the same with MR1.1 and MR2.

I would suggest you open a support ticket.

  • Leon,

I am using the client at home. No way to deploy XG on customers at this moments. I am experiencing the same issue as Slawski.

  • Reverted back to MR-1.1. I can live without Client Authentication (I'm using XG at home right now), but when I started experiencing strange "no internet" warnings on different devices and exclamation mark on WiFi icon on all Android phones, I gave up. All those devices were defined as Clientless Users.

Oh, and FYI I'm using OS X 10.11.4 on a few computers and latest Windows 10 on two PCs.

After going back to MR-1.1 - everything went back to normal, so please do not say, that it is OS X fault.
