Sometimes I get an http 502 bad gateway error with web filtering enabled

I recently enabled web filtering to block ads and explicit content, now occasionally I get a http 502 bad gateway error, it happened a lot yesterday when I was doing a lot of edits to our wordpress site, I would click "update" and get the 502 error, then I would have to hit the browser's back button, restore the backup of the post that wordpress helpfully made, click "update" again and it would work second time around.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Cheers,

Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Have you configured proxy settings on your web browser and using XG as a proxy server?

I think the corresponding server is not responding the XG when it behaves as an intermediate proxy server to suffice the request.

    Awaiting reply.

  • Hello,

We have NFR vUTM in my office.

I have been searching error 502 (Bad Gateway) on http sites. But no problem for https sites.

I could not capture clue from logs , packet capture. When i disable http scanning from Lan to Wan rule , problem goes away.

What was changed only the license was expired. Now I will try to activate the license.
