Enable transparent proxy

Hi there,

Does the XG support transparent proxy? The only place in the menu I've seem to find anything related to web proxy is "Protection->Web Protection->Web Proxy" But the only option there is to set the proxy port.

Any clues to where I might be able to set up transparent proxy?

  • Tony,
XG uses Policy concept. Create a network/user rule, enable "Scan HTTP" and apply a Web Filter and you done it.
Web proxy page you mentioned, it is used when you need explicit proxy setup.

  • Sorry fo getting back so late.
If I enable Scan HTTP and set Web Filter to allow all, Netflix won't stream any movies. If I enable Decrypt and scan HTTPS (which I would also like to do) Netflix won't even log in to my account. The scan HTTP rule also do not work even if I haven't applied any filter "None".
    Internet browsing works fine though.

Iam not quite sure what you mean when you say "when you need explicit proxy setup"?

    Best regards.
