Secure E-mail setup - Certificates

Has anyone been able to configure e-mail scanning of secure POP3/IMAP/SMTP without constantly getting popups from the mail client about invalid certificates? How do you go about adding the certificate from an outside e-mail provider? Is this device only good if you host your own e-mail servers internally behind the firewall?

  • Berkleigh,

I use XG to scan IMAP and POP traffic. You can upload a purchased certificate inside the XG under Object > Identity > Certificate and choose the uploaded cert for IMAP/POP scanning under Protection > Email Protection > Configuration "POP and IMAP TLS Configuration".

    Hi lferrara,

hi have the same problem with one customer. He has an internal mail server that push pop3s mail from the provider mail server, and the clients push imaps mail from the internal mail server

are purchase a certificate mandatory if I want no more popup error certificate?

strange things that the popup error appears only on LAN clients..
