Unified Host Objects

The UTM had "Unified Host Objects" (https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/119097.aspx) where you could add a host in your network and enter DHCP and DNS information for it, automatically adding it to DHCP and DNS.

The XG Firewall seems to be missing this, I have to setup every Host under DHCP and again under DNS, is that correct or am I missing something?

  • Yes, this is a feature I also need to be able to use before upgrade to XG. I have host with mutiple hostnames, and now I can't even assign the same MAC to the same IP (need to be a unique MAC). Is there any plans to implement this again?

Also, under Authentication Servers. I now I have assign this to a fixed IP instead of a DNS host user? Is there anyway to assign the server IP to a dns lookup?
